Brethren and guests gathered on Saturday Dec 17th to participate in a public ceremony of Freemasonry. The installation of lodge officers has been a function of the Grand Master, or an officer he designates since time immemorial. No officer of a Masonic lodge may take up his elected or appointed duties until formally installed to his office by the proper authority. Most Worshipful Past Grand Master John Heins was the presiding proper authority for this installation.
The public installation ceremony is an event where the role expectations are explained to the Brother Mason of the respective office. Each elected Lodge officer is then given the charge of their office. This includes bestowing of the jewels and implement of their station. The Brother Mason is then escorted to their station in the Lodge to preside from.
Congratulations to all of our elected and appointed officers installed for the next Masonic year!
